Natural organic compounds are produced by organisms that photosynthesise or chemosynthesise (using light or chemicals for an energy source). They include sugars and vitamins, which allow metabolic activity to occur. Without organic compounds, there would be no life in Galapagos. All organic compounds contain carbon. Acetone is an example of an organic compound.
