The Incan Empire lasted almost 100 years from 1438 to 1533. The fall of the Incan Empire began in July 1529, when Spanish Explorers were given permission by the Queen of Spain to conquer the Incas and claim the region as Spanish territory.

The official language of the Incan Empire was Quechuan. This language is still spoken by between 8 and 10 million people in countries across South America.
