Captain James Colnett’s chart of the Galapagos created in 1798.

With the support of the British Whaling company, Samuel Enderby & Sons, the British Navy sent Captain James Colnett to research the opportunities for whaling around the Galapagos Islands. Captain Colnett produced an updated chart of the Islands in 1798 and is also credited for establishing the Post Office Box on Floreana.
