Species Overview

The daisy tree belongs to the genus Scalesia which is endemic to Galapagos. Scalesia are members of the daisy family and at least 15 species have evolved on the Galapagos islands. The largest and most common species is the daisy tree which grows up to 15 metres and forms dense forests in what is known as the Scalesia zone.
